Quash That Kick!
Sometimes, I find myself having internal debates in which I can’t decide whether the legislative bills submitted by political parties I oppose should be quashed, or full-out squashed. I favor squashing, but that’s just me. Consider:
- A survey of the uninformed electorate finds that people don’t really know what quashing means, but they get the sense that it’s “gentler” than squashing.
- Why go through the whole nine yards, as happens when you squash opponents, when you can save yourself aggravation and considerable expense by going just six or seven yards?
- Quashed legislative bills can be resubmitted, whereas once they get squashed, well…
Working with my PAC on some of the ramifications.
