Let's All Have Fun and Behave Ourselves
A lot of people are worried about what might happen in the cycling community if the Patriots beat the Colts. We’ve been known to get out of hand now and again, riding shirtless through the streets in the frigid weather sporting the Patriots logo in body paint, clogging up lanes of traffic on major bridges.
I’ll concede that we deserve our reputations as inciters of sports-fan mayhem, but I want to assure the public that I’ve called in some pretty substantial chits with local bike leadership and demanded that they put the reins on the couple of bad wheels in their pelleton. I was especially adamant that we’d have no kids stuck on the school bus in 4 hour traffic jams after the game because cyclists had shut down toll booths. Local bike leadership assured me it was unlikely to happen at 11:30 p.m. on a Saturday night in January.
You can thank me later.
